HISTORY
The MacMillan clan is thought to be descendant from the Hebridean prince Airbertach, linked to the royal house of Moray. The MacMillans also have strong roots in the Celtic church, the first of the clan, Gillie Chriosd was a Columba monk. The Gaelic name comes from the style of hair worn, shaved in front of the head with hair behind.
The MacMillan Ancient tartan is predominantly green and deep yellow with red and black.
