HISTORY
The MacEwan clan is dated back to about 1200 and Ewan of Otter from the land around Loch Fyne. Several spellings of the name are used by the clan. The clan can trace their descendants back to the Kings of Ireland and have common ancestors with the Lamonts, the MacLachlansand the MacNeils.
The MacEwan tartan pattern is mix of green and blue with black yellow and red.
Crest: The stump of an oak tree sprouting new growth.
