HISTORY
The Gordon clan is believed to have been from Anglo-Norman decent, moving from the Borders to Aberdeenshire. The earliest record of the family was Richer de Gordum in 1150 and 1160 with the monks of St Mary at Kelso.
The Gordon Dress tartan contains the same mix of green and blue as the ancient with black and a pale white/cream.
