HISTORY

The clan Fergusson is believed to be derived from the Gaelic patronymic of Fergusson MacFhaerghuis ‘Son of the angry’. There are many septs under clan Fergusson. In 1703 it was Sir john Fergusson who created a Baronet of Nova Scotia.
