HISTORY
The Brodie clan is one of the original Pictish tribes of Moray. A famous Brodie, Deacon William Brodie of Edinburgh in the 18th Century is thought to have inspired R.L Stevenson’s ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ due to his double life as upstanding councillor by day and burglar by night. Eventually hanged in 1788 by a mechanism he himself devised. The Brodie Hunting Modern tartan contains predominantly greens with a little red giving a natural and very Scottish feel.
